Key Responsibilities

  1. Client and Vendor Engagements
  • Draft, review, and negotiate key contracts, including service agreements, licensing agreements, NDAs, and procurement contracts.
  • Provide strategic legal guidance on client and vendor relationships, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
  1. Privacy and Data Protection
  • Lead compliance efforts with global privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CPRA), ensuring the company’s policies and procedures are robust and up to date.
  • Advise on data privacy aspects in contracts, including cross-border data transfers and data processing agreements.
  1. Compliance and Policies
  • Develop and maintain the company’s internal compliance frameworks, aligning them with international regulatory standards.
  • Drive a culture of compliance and ethics across the organization.
  1. AI-Related Legal Matters
  • Provide thought leadership on the responsible and compliant use of AI technologies.
  • Address ethical and legal considerations, including IP, liability, and transparency in AI deployment.

This hybrid role offers flexibility in managing your schedule while requiring occasional collaboration with global stakeholders across different time zones.

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with at least 6 years of experience in a leading law firm (preferably in hi-tech and commercial teams) and/or in-house experience in a technology company.
  • Strong expertise in AI-related regulations,  privacy laws,and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven track record in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex contracts.
  • Familiarity with open-source licensing and software compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, creativity and the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for diverse stakeholders.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with a talent for managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
