Global Law on Online Terrorist Content

Global internet law is shifting away from the US model of limited liability and into enhanced moderation obligations. Liabilities are also changing, as failure to comply could result in a loss of market access, significant fines, and potentially criminal penalties for company officials.

As global regulation changes, policy teams seeking to be compliant are navigating unsettled waters, and find that they must react quickly to changes. This report will provide these teams with a review of relevant laws, focusing specifically on regulations surrounding terror content, and how they apply to technology platforms.

In the downloadable, we summarize and provide links to the relevant laws in over 60 countries, effective April 2022.
